“We’ve forgotten much. How to struggle, how to rise to dizzy heights and sink to unparalleled depths. We no longer aspire to anything. Even the finer shades of despair are lost to us. We’ve ceased to be runners. We plod from structure to conveyance to employment and back again. We live within the boundaries that science has determined for us. The measuring stick is short and sweet. The full gamut of life is a brief, shadowy continuum that runs from gray to more gray. The rainbow is bleached. We hardly know how to doubt anymore.” ― Richard Matheson
Oh how beautiful the journey of life can be! To remember the true purpose of life: experience. To innately go after your desires, have moments of vertigo on your way there – heartbeat pounding out of your chest in gratitude and dedication, and setbacks that seem unmatched by the previous one. It all goes into chasing (and attracting) your dreams and it’s the reason you were born. We got sucked into a cycle that logically proved to be decent, but this is when we say “A normal life isn’t good enough anymore!” … adventure, wisdom, wonder – they’re all acquired in the moments outside of our monotonous routines.
Those moments where it’s down right scary to fight for your authentic truths. When you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel but you have full faith that it’s there. When you take the leap without assessing the fall because you know no matter what, you’ll never stop trying and one day you will succeed because there is no other reality or option. When you look around you and wonder why everyone isn’t doing the same thing. In all of this, you find the colors and sweetness of life. And you begin to want to inspire the rest of the world to find that together.
